I am having an ongoing issue with my Order Receipt for my shopping cart.  I have State required on both the Billing Information and the Shipping Information pages during checkout.  I have also updated the general profile information to require that the User enters in a state.

I have a customer and for the State on the order receipt, the field is blank.  This is a problem because it is not calculating tax on the final order.

This has happened with about 10 customers since we launched the cart in August. I checked the user account information in the website and there is no State entered.  How could somebody get through the ordering process without filling out a required field?

Any thoughts or ideas on this would be VERY helpful.

I sent an e-mail to the developer regarding this issue and below is the response that I received.  I am working through to trouble shoot to see if this resolves the issue but haven't yet figured out if it worked or not.  Just wanted to share incase somebody has this issue.

Maybe they have unselected the state via DNN address management after they have ordered something?

If this was a Credit Card purchase, you can find the address that was used when paying for this order on the order details page at: CATALooK.netStore -> Orders -> Order Details. If the state field is not visible there, please select ‘View Options’ from the module menu and turn on the ‘view’ option for this field.

You could also add the CAT_Transaction module from the PA-Modules_2 folder to any page to check all fields of the transactions.

I have not heard about a timing problem before but maybe turning off Ajax in the module options would change something. Or if this is not the latest DNN and CATALooK version, updating to a newer version would fix it.

Or another idea would be using the DNN profile control. To disable all of the standard address fields, login as admin and set all to not visible on the cart module address page. Then select ‘View Options’ from the module menu and remove the address fields from the hidden address fields box, see also chapter ‘User Registration’ of the manual.
