Context : Get & display product generated serial numbers instead of barcode image
Hi,
After a new install (used the default created portal), I have discovered that when adding Serial Numbers, there was an entry (among others) named 'Serial Number(s)' in the category list.
However, as I initially tested CataLook in a sub-Dotnetnuke portal, I could not find the entry displayed in the fresh install (I had to create a dummy category).
Looking in the database, the table 'CAT_SNCategories' has a field named 'PortalID' that holds the value 0 for all entries (except for the dummy category I created, which have the value 6 for PortalID). As my child portal id was 6, the Serial Number categories did not appear when adding serial numbers. Changing the 0 values to 6 causes the standard Serial Number categories to be displayed.
1) Is it a bug or a configuration problem ?
2) In the serial number category list, 'Serial Number(s)' and 'License key(s)' entries exists. What are the difference between them ?
3) What is the token to include in email to display the serial number ?
At last, unfortunately, as my trial has expired, I cannot test a product purchase with serial number of 'Serial Number(s)' category.
May I ask you a trial period extension to test for this (as barcodes are still displayed in the order detail page - maybe the serial number category change is made for new orders only) ?
Note that this problem is critical for us and is the last before taking the decision to buy your product.
