Main product image problem

Hi,

I just updated to version 6.1.7. Previously I had the main product image displayed as a large thumb nail with light box working (this is on the product detail page I guess you call it...like when click through from dashboard -> product detail). Now it is displaying full size. Any settings I change for it have no effect; all the other images like from attribute tab, dashboard etc all working fine though just as before. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or is it something I'm doing wrong maybe? When image is displayed full size it breaks page layout...I can just fix it with css but I'd rather just have it how it was before with working lightbox.

Multivendor setup questions

I haven't purchased CataLook yet (I'm in the decision making phase), but here's a question:

This question is in regards to using the multi-vendor setup for a general consumer to consumer "markeplace" type setup.

Is there a way for a site owner to separate himself entirely from the monetary transactions of the marketplace sellers, but still earn money from the marketplace.

In particular, I'm thinking of using subscriptions/roles for this purpose. (Sellers pay a subscription to list in the marketplace, based on role). However, I don't know if Catalook can facilitate the transactions of sellers, and allow buyer feedback, without overly involving the site admin in the process. What I want to do is completely take the admin out of the money handling area. Buyers would pay sellers directly. However, Catalook would still handle all the other transaction details such as inventory, order history, expire the listing as needed, allow for user communication and buyer feedback.

I hope this makes sense. Essentially I don't want any money being sent to, nor withheld by the admin during the transaction. But I do want to make use of Catalook's other features for the transaction.

My setup would basically require parts:
1) Catalook would need to use roles to allow folks to list or not. Possibly in tiers in a best case scenario (so role 1 could list 5 items, role 2 could list 100 items, role 3 could list unlimited items). This is key for this to work.

2) It would require some sort of auto subscription to set roles feature. I can get this from other sources if needed, but it would be nice if this were included within Catalook.

3) It would require a feature to bypass sending any money (and associated bookkeeping) to the site admin for transactions, including transaction fees, but instead send all the money straight to the seller at the time of the purchase. So, essentially transaction fees would be zero.

4) Finally, this would require disabling of using the same shopping cart across multiple sellers - UNLESS the sellers are paid separately (while bypassing the site admin) upon checkout.

Can Catalook do this out-of-the-box, or is there a similar solution that would work instead?

Shipping problems!?

I have a complex need that I cant seem to work out... I am sure its possible as other CMS's eshops I have used all have this functionality.

I have a need where the users has a shop front and also allows for pickup, and following that they ship all around the country, each state has a separate shipping fee, I have set these in the shipping rules, however, it gives the user the ability too choose

1. Free pick up
2. state rate
Problem is people I am sure will choose the wrong state, I dont want to give the user these options, I need it to some how use the state that they have in the shipping address relate back to my shipping rules and make the calculations based on that rather than allowing them to choose.

I am sure there is a way of doing this I did try the visible check box, but this causes a object not found error, any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

QuikBooks Import Orders

I purchased Catalook because it was to be able to import orders into QuickBooks ..... I set up a webstore with Catalook, Purchased a new PC and installed QuickBooks2010 and can not get the import to work... QuickBooks just shuts down... Does anyone have any help, before I recomend to everyone that Catalook is a very poor investment... I researched all of the QuickBook help files and it looks like the IIF file exported by Catalook is not formated correctly ... or up to date ... Thanks for any help....

Error DNN 5.5.0 and upgrade to 6.0.8

Last week I upgraded DNN from 5.4.x to 5.5.0 as it was a critical update and we were feeling the effects of the issues with 5.4.

Overall everything was working fine. The only problem I found was when trying to checkout it would throw an error as ( do not remember exactly) but the Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

So I checked for a later release of CataLook as I was using 5.8.9 and saw 6.0.8 and downloaded it. I followed the install instructions and all went well until installing the CATALookStore extension. I get the following error:

Transport Charges New

I have a shopping cart where the shipping option is ship most cost effective way and notify me of the costs.

Is there anyway to update the order receipt with the shipping charges once they are added? I noticed there is a box for "Transport Charges New". I was thinking that this might be the box that I am looking for but i'm not sure. Anybody know how to do this?

I would like to hide the "Add to Cart" button and the Quantity field in the first screen of the ItenPaneNF Module ... I would like to force my customers to drill down to the product detail section to purchase products. That way they have to view the related products as well as the also bought items before they can make a purchase ....Thanks for any help .... Stan

diferrent download icon for French and English

I have added an icon to download material on my bilingula site however icons will not change for French and English. I am using media gallery to add download icon and by default it is pulling downlod-xp.gif. Does anyone know how can I change this or have an idea how to make media gallery change download icon depending on langualge. Thanks.

Sell Online Training Site

I would like to set catalook up to sell online training.

Example
Customer can buy access to Online Training Videos but not be able to download the video to their computer. After purchase they need to view the video from inside the store.

Some how the purchase would give the client unlimited acces to a site page with the training video or a link to the training video inside catalook. The video would only be viewable inside the store.

Do you have any sugguestions on how this could be done

Dashboard images not displaying

We are currently running Catalook 05.05.06 on our website and I have run into a display issue with the dashboard. Product images just do not show in the dashboard. This is consistent across all products and displays except for on our homepage, where the two featured product images do appear.

For example see our homepage:

(The dashboard is at the bottom of the page in both of the above cases.)

I have tried editing the product to link to different images and it doesn't matter where in our file directory I link to or what image I link to, the images stay broken.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'd be extremely grateful for suggestions!

After entering the credit card information (# and code), when submit is clicked the following DNN error is displayed and the payment is not processed.

The message does not show in the event viewer. This happens in TEST and LIVE mode. This is using the GoEmerchant payment gateway. New Install of Catalook using the transaction type AUTH, SALE.

After a payment has been processed and sent to the payment gateway I see the error message 'either you are not logged in, or do not have access to this content'. Despite the error message the transaction is completed successfully.

This has started happening for no apparent reason. I did see a reference to 'User Registration' not set to Public within the Advanced section of the Store Admin but I checked that this was set correctly. I can't figure out what is going on.

Any suggestions??

Gift Cards / Coupons

I have notified support and am awaiting some advice but I figured I would post here as well.

We are moving from ASPDNSF and have used Gift cards alot. These are cards that customers purchased from us as either gifts or for their own use and sold outside of our storefront. I need a way for customers to use these cards and show the remaining balance.

The trick is these Giftcards are not assigned to a customer. If you know the code you can use it. However in Catalook If I set this giftcard to say 100.00 and Customer A uses it all is fine and the balance works however if Customer B then goes to use the same card # it starts off at the intial balance of 100.00 and not the reamaining balance. As you can see we would go broke quickly .

Does anyone know of any setting or modification that I could make to tie the balance to the Gift card code and not to the user? From what I can tell balances are derived and not stored in the DB.

What I would like to be able to do is to have a table that has

Card Number, Initial amount, Remaining amount, Date purchased,....

and in the order details show the card number as a credit note or coupon code

and while I am asking I would like to tie it a cart rule .(product categories, not include shipping etc..)

I need to have this project fininshed in the next 2 weeks and this has become a major stumbling block. I would be willing to pay for some custom development if the time window could be met. - Thanks in advance. Daniel

Authorize.net - 103 Error

We've had a 5.09.06 working on a site for about a year just fine. Beginning July 30 it suddenly stopped working with Authorize.net and brings a 103 error with each attempt to check out. I've been on the phone with AN and nothing has changed on their end.

We did a back up restore of our site to July 27 and the same result. On July 27-29 all orders processed fine and we are now exactly as it was when working before. We did a re-issue on the Transaction Key twice, same deal.

I'm stumped. Non working cart that normally does 10k + a month or more. Owner has been kind so far but...

Any ideas?

Help with Shipping

Just wondered if anyone could help we currently have shipping set to bill per item and i've set the price of the shipping in the product properties. For some reason though when a person orders a multple order eg 2 item of the same item they only seem to be having shipping added for the one item and not 2.

Any help would be greatly appreicated

DNN Search and Catalook Search

Is it possible to tie the DNN Search in w/ the Catalook search? So a user that uses the DNN search will also be searching the Catalook store?

I've tested it on one of our sites and the two search functions don't seem to work together.
